IT IS TIME TO BID! Unique IRL Edition Cobra Scooter To Be Auctioned By CARA Charities
Signed by All IRL Drivers, Past Champions, Scooter Brings “One of A Kind” Tag

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (Sept. 8, 2005) – CARA Charities has joined with Cobra Powersports to produce one of the most sensational “at-the-track” transportation vehicle ever seen on the IRL IndyCar® Series.

CARA Charities, one of motorsport’s leading charitable organizations, and Cobra Powersports (Cobra Scooters, LLC), importers of the TGB line of motor scooters and ATVs, and other powersports products, are auctioning this unique vehicle at the CARA “Raceway Rendezvous, Guns & Garters” charity event set for Friday, Oct. 14, at California Speedway.

This “one of a kind” Cobra Powersports scooter is making each of the 17 races of the 2005 IRL IndyCar® Series and displays a special “IndyCar” paint scheme with one sensational twist.

The entire field of IndyCar Series drivers, including past series champions Tony Kanaan, Scott Dixon, Sam Hornish Jr. and Buddy Lazier and Indy 500 winners Helio Castroneves, Kenny Brack, Buddy Rice and Dan Wheldon, has put their autograph on this Cobra Motors scooter! And, yes, Danica has signed it too!!

Joe Foster
Joe is a regular competitor in the American Le Mans Series since the inaugural Petit Le Mans in 1998. Joe has successfully competed in various forms of road racing around the world from karting to Formula Ford 1600, Russell Mazda, Formula Ford 2000, British Formula Three, Motorola Cup, Grand Am and, of course, the ALMS. Foster is also the Chief Driving Instructor of the Panoz Racing School , one of the premier road racing schools in the world. At the Panoz Racing School , Joe oversees curriculum design, instructor training and the competition aspects of the quickly growing Panoz GT and Panoz Pro Series race events.
Rick Skelton
Rick began racing in college in 1984 and soon moved up the ranks of the competitive HSR vintage racing ladder and won a championship there. His desire to race professionally led him to the Skip Barber and Panoz Racing Schools where he went on to win in the amateur series run by each school. Rick then moved into the IMSA-sanctioned Panoz Pro Racing Series where he took 2nd place in the 2002 championship. He has raced in front of hundreds of thousands of pro racing spectators from Sebring , Florida to Mosport , Canada .

His accomplishments include Regional victories at Infineon Raceway California in addition to a well-earned National victory at Daytona International Speedway in 2005. 
Ryan Spencer-Smith
Ryan began racing shifter karts when he was 14 years old and was awarded his Professional Kart SKUSA license by age 15.  During the year 2003, Ryan earned his National SCCA license through the Jim Russell Program in Northern California.  In 2004, Ryan earned his FIA International Class C License after successfully completing BMW USA's open wheel (BMW FB2) school in Valencia, Spain.

Whitley Motorsports based in Hendersonville , NC.  Kurt Whitley , now crew chief and team manager, was a drag racer when he met and married Laurie.

After several years watching Kurt race, Laurie expressed an interest in becoming a driver herself. In 1992 they built her first car. The rest is history. Laurie Whitley drives the sleek Ford Thunderbird while Kurt does the mechanic work and handles the “care and feeding” of his driver.

TGB Releases Limited Edition Scooters

Race inspired scooters come with either a 49cc engine or optional 151cc high-performance engine.

Atlanta, GA May 10, 2005 – High performance scooter manufacturer TGB has released two special edition scooters for the U.S. market.  In an effort to create a limited edition line of scooters that will appeal to motorcycle racing enthusiast, TGB created the scooters using racing motorcycle styling.

The first limited edition scooter is called the TGB 303R Laser #01. The body of the #01 SE scooter uses very bright florescent red with bright blue, white and yellow accents.  The design was inspired by a famous European Supersport Racing team. The wheels are bright red with high polished edges.

The second limited edition scooter is called the TGB 303R Laser #42.  The body of the #42 SE scooter uses graphics inspired by a famous AMA Superbike team with bright red paint with white stripes like those used on the A/C/ 427 Shelby Cobra's of the 1960's.  The wheels are gloss black with high polished edges.

Just a few hundred of each 49cc special edition scooters will be available through Authorized TGB Dealers starting may 10, 2005 and just over a hundred of each of the 151cc scooters will be made available for the US market at the same time.  Only the top 100 TGB dealers in the country will be permitted to sell the special edition scooters.

Both scooters come standard with the TGB Motocicli Veloci™ 49cc high-performance engine of the optional TGB High-Performance 151cc 4-stroke engine. The engines come with a Mikuni carburetor designed for cold weather use and a fully automatic CVT transmission.  The Laser has European styling and a Sport Suspension System including a rear mono shock with a floating axle and hydraulically charged front suspension offering excellent handling and control.  Standard equipment includes high-performance Maxxis tires; 120/70-13 front and 130/70-13 rear, a 190mm front disc brake, large storage area under the seat, and full instrumentation.
